Privacy at Quiet Lantern
Quiet Lantern is designed to keep prayer and reflection intentional: share only what you choose, save only what you choose, and know what this app can—and cannot—control.
Your selected tradition, intention, and language style are kept in this browser’s local storage so they can prefill setup on your next visit. This preference record contains only those choices; it does not include your concern or generated response.
When you offer a concern, Quiet Lantern sends it with your selected mode, tradition, intention, and language style to the AI service to generate the response you see.
Quiet Lantern holds an unsaved concern and generated response in the current page state so you can read and decide what to do next. Save to favorites stores only the generated prayer text, tradition, and intention in this browser; it does not include your concern and does not sync across devices. Save privately is separate and stores the fuller moment in your signed-in account. Begin again clears the concern and response from that in-page moment.
When you choose Save to favorites, this browser’s local storage keeps the generated prayer text, selected tradition, and intention. Favorites are available only in this browser profile and do not sync across devices. Visit Saved prayers to remove an item, or clear this browser’s site data to remove all device-local favorites.
For owner reporting, Quiet Lantern stores one UTC calendar day and aggregate counts of successful AI-generated prayers and saved records created in signed-in accounts. These totals contain no concern or prayer text, account ID, session ID, IP address, or other visitor identifier. This is separate from the signed-in account archive described below, where a saved record includes its content and is associated with your account.
A saved record contains the title, mode, concern, generated response, and created and updated timestamps. It is associated with your signed-in account so the saved-prayer routes can scope access to that account.
From Saved prayers, you can remove one device-local favorite. From the signed-in Saved Prayers account archive, you can rename a record, delete one record, or confirm Delete all to remove all saved records held for your Quiet Lantern account. These controls describe what this app removes; they do not claim to remove copies held by the AI service, logs, backups, or authentication systems.
The surrounding app framework may process page-load analytics and a visitor identifier. Authentication may also retain account and session metadata. Quiet Lantern currently has no in-product account-deletion control unless an installed authentication feature exposes one. AI-service handling is outside this app’s control, so this page does not make absolute security, confidentiality, legal, or deletion claims.
